The Cannes Film Festival is the premiere showcase for international films, film makers, and stars. The week and a half long festival is also a hot spot of glamour and fashion. We chose just a few of our favorite red carpet looks from the 2016 Cannes Film Festival to share with you.
Filipino actress Jaclyn Jose walked the red carpet with fellow “Ma Rosa” cast member Andi Eigenmann — who happens to be Jose’s real life daughter. Jose and Eigenmann are seen here attending the opening for the acclaimed film. Jose was later awarded the 2016 Cannes Best Actress award for her gritty portrayal of a mother struggling to keep her family together in the Philippine slums.
Alessandra Ambrosio made an unforgettably glamorous entrance to the showing of “The Last Face” at Cannes. The beaded lace on the Zuhair Murad Couture gown/jumpsuit dazzled onlookers, as did her Cartier snake necklace. The Brazilian model had been eyeing the gown since it walked the runway during Paris Fashion Week.
Thigh high slits showed up all over the Cannes runways, but Bella Hadid outdid them all in this daring Alexandre Vauthier silk wrap gown. Although the dress looks centimeters away from baring it all, the model’s stylist confirmed that a hidden bodysuit kept Hadid covered at all times.
Fellow Bella, Bella Heathcote, also walked the red carpet in red. The Australian actress walked the carpet before the screening of her film “The Neon Demon.” Heathcote accessorized the Armani dress with Miu Miu heels and a Tod’s clutch.
