Now that another awards season is in full swing, we will have plenty of gowns to swoon over. We love seeing our favorite actors and actresses wearing couture looks from the world’s top designers. There are certain designers that Hollywood tends to gravitate toward, and we expect to see these eight red carpet designers this year.
Dior
Because Dior frequently uses actresses like Charlize Theron, Dakota Fanning, and Jennifer Lawrence as faces of their brand, these actresses tend to choose Dior for their red carpet gowns. Recently actress Dakota Fanning wore an elegant pale green gown from the A/W18 Dior Haute Couture collection on the red carpet. We expect to see several actresses choosing Dior during awards season.
Oscar de la Renta
Actresses looking for a red carpet ensemble that epitomizes femininity and grace will find it in a gown from Oscar de la Renta. The brand, founded by a designer who famously dressed Jacqueline Kennedy, is known for stunning gowns. We loved this Spring 2019 runway look on Rachel Brosnahan at the Emmys this year.
Valentino
Lady Gaga is a top contender for many Best Actress awards this season, thanks to her work in “A Star Is Born.” She chose a bold icy blue Valentino Couture gown for the Golden Globes — complete with matching blue hair! We expect that Gaga will not be the only actress to look to Valentino for red carpet desginers this year.
Louis Vuitton
Emma Stone serves as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton, so it was only fitting that she wear a stunning custom Louis Vuitton on the Golden Globes red carpet. Louis Vuitton is one of Hollywood’s favorite designers, so be prepared for more stunning looks before the season is over.
Zuhair Murad
We have seen more and more starlets choosing to wear Zuhair Murad to the award shows, and we are so excited! Halle Berry wowed in this runway gown from Zuhair Murad’s F/W18 collection. We will not be surprised if we see more looks from this same runway show grace the red carpet.
Versace
We almost always see at least one extravagant Atelier Versace gown at each award show. The pieces in their F/W18 collection are perfect for the occasion. The Winter Palace Dress is made to glitter under the lights of the paparazzi.
Monique Lhuillier
Already this season, Monique Lhuillier has dressed the likes of Keri Russell, Amber Heard, Emmy Rossum, and more. Perhaps this gown from her Fall 2019 runway collection is the next dress we will see.
Christian Siriano
Octavia Spencer and Allison Janney have already tapped Christian Siriano as their red carpet designers this year. This former Project Runway star has become a favorite designer for Hollywood. Our fingers are crossed that one of the frothy looks from his Pre-Fall 2019 collection makes its way to the award shows this year!
We love all of these red carpet designers and can’t wait to see what the best looks are for awards season this year. Can’t get enough of these couture looks? Check out the highlights from last year’s Paris Haute Couture Week.
