The Master Tailor
The process begins with a one to two hour consultation with a Master Tailor from Brioni. The client has the option of meeting with the Master Tailor in any Brioni store or, if preferred, in the comfort of their home, hotel, or office.
Brioni trains and hand selects its master tailors from its own school. This ensures the highest level of attention to detail and commitment to the high standard set by Brioni. Opened in 1985, the school, Scuola di Alta Sartoria in Penne, Abruzzo, offers a four year program to a young tailor beginning at the age of 14-15. It is the only high school solely for tailoring in all of Italy. Only sixteen pupils are selected every four years to attend the prestigious school. The ethical and artisanal mission is to ensure that the deep rooted heritage is passed on to future generations. The Brioni Master Tailors then go on to staff the stores worldwide.
The Process
Thanks to this high level of training at a young age, the men and women who become Brioni Tailors represent the highest level of sartorial elegance. Their artistry is in all of the unseen details that make Brioni garments distinct. The Brioni method, a unique process followers by all the Master Tailors, requires 220 steps and more than 24 hours of workmanship. Then each suit comes to life with more than 7000 meticulous stitches, all made by hand. The Master Tailors meet with each client to create 100% handmade and hand sewn garments which are unique masterpieces that caress the body and mold the silhouette with stunning precision.
