Paris Men’s Fashion Week

Paris Men’s Fashion Week wrapped up at the end of June, and, while there were no shocking runway shows, there is still plenty to talk about.  The line between men’s and women’s fashion continues to blur as designers have models of both genders walking the runway in androgynous fashions.

The Rick Owens show was uncharacteristically restrained but still featured plenty of gender-ambiguous looks.  The knotted garments and mismatched proportions looked equally fresh on both male and female models.

The dark, tailored looks offered by Dior Homme were a strong contrast to the twisting, roller coaster themed runway set.  All of the looks had a punk/athletic wear vibe — even the trench coats and suits.

The Balmain Spring 2017 collection wasn’t short on color.  Beginning with light blue, head-to-toe denim, transitioning to multi-colored chevron knitwear, and finishing with draped black evening wear, the collection ran the entire spectrum of the rainbow.

Did you keep up with Paris Men’s Fashion Week this year?  What was your favorite look of the designers’ Spring 2017 collections?
